I have this half an essay that want to work on that. Change everything to 3rd person eliminate He and She. Some paragraphs are not complete. I had the idea what to write but could not continue and elaborate on it. The essay should have 3 cons and 3 pros so basically 3 paragraph why someone thinks its a place and 3 pro paragraph that it is a feeling. At the end the conclusion is based on the opinion that it is a feeling and you are agreeing with the last 3 pro paragraphs.
Home isnt a Place, Its a Feeling
Home is a delicate element of our lives that affects and defines various aspects of human behavior and performance. Some people believe that home is where the family is located, memories are made, and where friends are. On the other hand, another ideology exists, that home is not a place but a feeling of what drives people to learn more, be independent, and work harder.
Firstly, home is not a feeling but a place because it is where ones family is located. Family members are a marker of home, and being with them in a physical setting is viewed as being at home. The physical aspect of where the family is located is thus more of home than feelings.
Secondly, home is where memories are made because the physical location is marked as an enabler of identity and belonging.
Thirdly, home is also where friends are. wanted to go back to Germany because she relates her area to where she belonged the most. Regardless of spending a year in America, some return to their original home country because that was where she saw fit. After all, she had a better chance of meeting with the people she loved.
However, some affirms that home is more of a feeling than a physical location because he was more adapted to learning. He learned a new ad vita language that made him feel useful, relevant, and knowledgeable. This gave him a sense of belonging because it marked him as part of the American culture. With the feeling of being important, he found his home.
Similarly, his feeling of independence from the wrong energy and dramatic events, which he had had a fair share of in Germany, marked that he was home. He felt more free and deserving of his family and was able to make decisions for himself. This gave him a sense of belonging to his family and motivated him to develop this feeling.
Additionally, home is a feeling of working hard. its felt at home because he was in a situation to apply his efforts and create a fruitful situation for him and his family. Therefore, his new home of feeling the need to work harder marked his new home that needed further development.
I believe that home is a feeling that gives you an identity and a sense of belonging. The identity derived from feeling a certain way, including being motivated, determined, and independent, is a suitable reference to know whether you are at a safe point worthy of being called home.
