Part 1-
A part of the final exam will be for you to develop your own 10 item rating scale survey that could be administered to students. You will pick the topic of the survey. There will not be any items that have to be flipped.
Provide me with the ten items you developed, and the rating scale you would use. Make sure the items all involve the same general concept. Also make sure to explain to me how collecting data with your survey from your future students will help you be a better teacher.

    Part 2-
You will develop a test consisting of 10 multiple choice test items and 1 open ended item. You will select any type of class (e.g. American History for 9th graders, Math for 12th graders). You will provide your 10 items, the answer key, and identify the skills addressed by each test item. You will also provide the 1 open ended item, a listing of skills addressed by the open ended item, and the rubric to grade the open ended item. Make sure that some of your test items require students to use higher order thinking. Not just factual recall.

    Part 3-
Please develop a 4-hour assessment in-service that you could present to your future school district. This will make use of our Popham work, NOT our Rasch work. If you wish you could also pretend you have been asked to present a workshop at a conference that might be attended by teachers and/or graduate students.

For the in-service/workshop develop at least a two-page outline of the in-service/workshop. Also include at least one activity to help your colleagues learn about the topic. Please also make sure you explain to me in what way your in-service/workshop touches upon the topic of educational assessment. I am not asking you to provide a lesson plan, rather an outline of your workshop topics.

Please remember an in-service is where the teachers of your school meet for a day. And they learn about an important topic. Sometimes a teacher will lead the in-service. Sometimes someone will be hired to come and present the in-service.
So for the assessment in-service will provide 1) a 2 page outline, 2) a summary of one activity you will use for your in-service and 3) a summary of your thoughts as to how and why your in-service touches upon the topic of assessment.
Please remember you will not be covering all of Popham in your in-service. You will want to select limited key topics that you feel are important to learn. Your in-service will involve the topic of assessment

in – service: teachers go to the school, students did not go to the school
in service have program and presentation to help teachers
2 page outline can be bullet points
Summary of one activity- 1 page
summary of your thoughts- 1 gage

only use materials I provided, do not use outside materials, no citation needed. You can find all answers from the book.
