In order to provide you with flexibility and ample opportunity to express your thoughts on the subject and book, The Color of Law, please pick and answer two (2) questions below. At minimum, your response to each question should be at least 250 words/one page double-spaced two pages in total.

What surprised you as you read The Color of Law?
The author sets forth on pages 179-180 several challenges to undoing residential segregation. Which do you believe is the most pernicious? What steps would you take to address residential segregation?
Chief Justice John Roberts wrote that residential segregation is a product not of state action but of private choices, it does not have constitutional implications. (See page 215). Do you agree or disagree with this statement? Explain your decision with supporting evidence.
If the municipality in which you presently reside, or one in which you have lived, has an online website where you can view the zoning map for the municipality, in which zone do you live or have lived, and can you observe any unique zoning features on the zoning map that supports Rothsteins arguments on neighborhood segregation? Please explain. If possible, include a copy or link to the zoning map.
