Discussion posts in this class have talked a lot about how you have organized your time and environment in order to deal with the demands of learning remotely in a pandemic. Now think specifically about how you learn (process new information and store it in long term memory). What practices do you do that help you learn and remember information in your courses? How do your study strategies align with what you now know about how the human mind processes information, and how effective are they for creating deep understanding?
Examples of aspects of the information processing model you might consider: the sensory register, the role of attention, the limits of working memory, elaboration, chunking, repetition, learning to automaticity, mnemonics, long term memory organization, the serial position curve, declarative knowledge, procedural knowledge, memory storage, etc.
