An Annotated Bibliography is a review of sources that you plan to use in your research project. The purpose of writing an annotated bibliography is to help you get started on your research, help narrow your topic, and ensure that you understand your sources and can use them effectively in your paper.
An entry for an annotated bibliography consists of two parts:
A works cited entry
A paragraph summarizing the key points of the source
In this assignment, you will review 3 to 5 sources (the minimum-maximum number of sources allowed for the essay).
The annotation (paragraph summary) for each source should contain the following information:
A brief description of the main ideas in the article
A statement of the author’s purpose or position on the topic.
An evaluation of the source that
the type of source
the credentials of the author
the relevance of the material
