In this assignment, you examine the chemical reactions caused by pollution, identify a problem, and create an initiative to resolve the problem.
Step 1. Choose and Explain
Chemical pollution worldwide is a growing threat to human health and the natural environment. Acid decomposition, eutrophication, smog, ozone loss, and greenhouse effect are all byproducts of pollution. Choose a chemical reaction, and explain the process.
Step 2. Identify
Identify where the chemical reaction is most likely to occur, and design a demonstration to share the potential consequences.
Step 3. Evaluate and Create
Evaluate 3 different policies influenced by chemical pollution, using federal or state statutes as a springboard for recommending policy changes. Create an initiative, using the demonstration as one aspect, to support more awareness of chemical pollution in school and community venues.
